Marbella Centre<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Marbella is famously known globally as a lavish and magnificent place\n to visit and live. Located just 45 minutes from Malaga Airport, \nMarbella is a popular tourist destination for many each year. The reason\n so many people are attracted to come here is because of the extensive \nand diverse mix of people that choose to work and live here. This makes \nMarbella a truly International jewel in the heart of Andalucia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brimming with culture, there is so much to do and see you are \nliterally spoilt for choice. From the emerald green backdrop of the \nmountains to the constantly changing blue of the sea, everything in \nbetween consists of a mix of Spanish and European culture, from the \nmuseums, to the food, to the architecture and to the actual \ndemographics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to its well-established business infrastructure, Marbella has \ngrown into a centre for professionals and business tycoons who find that\n Marbella has everything to offer them and their business needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the entertainment side, you will find no shortage of restaurants \u2013\n many of them Michelin star quality, with such a diverse selection of \ngastronomy your only problem will be deciding which one to choose. For \nbeach lovers, you can pick from any area along the shoreline that is \nfull of activity and water sports. Here you will find seafood \nrestaurants aplenty, especially in the Fishing Port, where the quality \nand price of the food cannot be beaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also on the beach is the Paseo Maritimo, a lovely marble pathway that\n stretches 7 kilometers all the way to Puerto Banus. Here you will pass \nrunners and cyclists who take advantage of the long straight stretch \nwith the beautiful scenery. If you are going for a stroll you can stop \nat one of the many cafes or bars to enjoy the views whilst you enjoy \nrefreshments or lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puerto Banus<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Situated to the West of Marbella, Puerto Banus is visited by around 5\n million people each year, and is officially named as Puerto Jose Banus,\n after the architect who designed the town. This cosmopolitan zone of \nMarbella is known as the Costa del Sol\u2019s playground for the rich and \nfamous, who are attracted by the glamour, beaches, nightlife and \nshopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you take a walk down to the port you can see this wealth reflected\n in the shops, cars and luxury yachts moored here. Famed as being one of\n the most luxurious marinas in the world with space for almost a 1,000 \nboats, it is home to some of the most opulent yachts you will come \nacross, owned by some of the world\u00b4s wealthiest people including the \nKing of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In summer, the pavements are full of holidaymakers and clubbers who \nwant to experience a little of what Puerto Banus has to offer\u2026.expensive\n restaurants, exclusive clubs and swanky boutiques. Whether its beach \nclubs, restaurants, shops, beauty services or just a nice bar to drink \nin you will find it all here in Puerto Banus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puerto Ban\u00fas is home to three beaches: Playa Nueva Andalucia, Playa \nPuerto Banus (or Playa de Levante) and Playa del Rio Verde. These \nbeaches are all very different from each other so there is a beach to \nsuit everyone and Playa Nueva Andalucia and Playa del Rio Verde have \nboth been awarded a blue flag by the European Union for their excellent \nfacilities and high standards of cleanliness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Mile<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Golden Mile is the expanse of area the stretches from Marbella \ntown to Puerto Banus. Well known for its exclusivity, it is home to many\n wealthy inhabitants including the King of Saudi Arabia who built his \npalace here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the Golden Mile are many Business Centres, elite hotels, golf \ncourses and other business services. There are also a number of Home \nD\u00e9cor\/Interior Design companies as well as top restaurants and popular \ncafes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the beach side, are situated the Marbella Club Hotel and the \nPuente Romano Hotel where you will find exceptional restaurants, art \ngalleries and shops. These hotels are also home to many local events and\n exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nueva Andalucia<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Nueva Andalucia is located behind Puerto Banus going inland. It is \nmade up of many residential urbanisations. It is well planned and very \nattractive as well as being extremely well maintained, and the \narchitecture is styled upon traditional Andalucian design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This area is also growing its gastronomy scene with many esteemed \nrestaurants that have opened up in competition with the standards set in\n Marbella and Puerto Banus. There is a wide range of cuisine to choose \nfrom, as well as many bars and cafes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nueva Andalucia is also host to many established businesses, many of \nwho are based in the commercial centre Centro Plaza, which is a mine of \nactivity and also includes many restaurants and bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Pedro de Alcantara<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

San Pedro de Alc\u00e1ntara was once an ancient farming community, and a \nbig producer of sugar cane. It is located only 10 minutes from the glitz\n of Marbella, 5 minutes from Puerto Banus and a very short distance to \nthe stunning Sierra de Ronda Mountains. Situated more to the west of \nMarbella you will find more Spanish authenticity here and is more \nunspoilt than other areas on the Costa Del Sol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not renowned for being flash or having crazy nightlife, San Pedro has\n a more relaxed pace of life. Much investment has been poured into San \nPedro recently improving the road system and building a new boulevard, \nwhich is host to many new restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The centre is packed full of businesses, restaurants and shops and \nhas a unique character that is contributed to by the lovely Plaza de la \nIglesia with its big parish church and surrounding maze of narrow \nstreets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beach side also has many trendy beach clubs and several excellent\n chiringuitos specializing in seafood. An event not be missed in San \nPedro is the the last summer fair (feria) in Andalucia being in the \nsecond week in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guadalmina<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Guadalmina beach is 1,600 meters long and 30 meters wide and belongs \nto the adjacent towns of San Pedro Alc\u00e1ntara (Marbella) and Estepona. In\n 1992 the beach was awarded a blue flag thanks to the excellent quality \nof its water. There is a lot of history in the area and many things to \nsee and do. Lying within a protected archaeological site are some \nthird-century AD Roman ruins known as Las B\u00f3vedas, which are located in \nGuadalmina\u00b4s unique surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately 26,500 people reside in San Pedro de Alc\u00e1ntara and \nGuadalmina, many of them being young professional couples opting to live\n in this affluent part of Marbella that reflects more of the regional \nculture of Southern Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are four schools of exceptional standards in and around \nGuadalmina and the local Commercial Centre has a great supply of \namenities such as Banks, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancelada<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Cancelada is a few minutes drive away from the natural beauty of the \nSierra de Ronda mountain range and only 15 minutes drive from Estepona. \nIt is a relatively unspoilt area with its own unique appeal, and only a \nhop away from San Pedro. The village of Cancelada offers of a great \nlocal school, and a nice choice of restaurants, cafes and shops. You \nalso have a small weekly market, and it is only a short drive to the \nlocal beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benahavis<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Benahavis is a charming mountain village situated between Marbella, \nEstepona, and Ronda. With around 2,000 residents, it is located 7 \nkilometers inland and at a height of 500 metres above sea level. It is a\n goldmine of gastronomy with many restaurants and bars, supporting a \nmainly Spanish style, in keeping with the village itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benahavis is also host to a good many of the Costa del Sol\u00b4s golf \ncourses actually having more in this area than any other along the \ncoast, making this place extremely popular amongst golf lovers. And with\n over 300 sunny days here, that\u2019s a lots of golf that can be played.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 3 rivers in this area \u2013 Guadalmina, Guadaiza and \nGuadalmanza, which run through the beautiful mountains of the Serrania \nde Ronda. There are also many areas of natural and historic interest to \nbe found here such as the Montymayor Castle, which was built on top of \nthe tallest mountain in the area. Those brave enough to walk to the top \ncan feast upon the amazing views of the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estepona<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Estepona is located 25 kilometres from Marbella Centre and 75 \nkilometres from Malaga airport. Home to almost 40,000 residents this \ntown is rapidly expanding to become a popular destination for tourists \nwho prefer a more \u00b4Spanish\u00b4 experience than what is available in \nMarbella. Estepona offers a more relaxed pace, often preferred by \nfamilies looking for somewhere a bit more quiet than the busy nightlife \nin neighbouring Puerto Banus. Here you can find traditional Andalucian \narchitecture and style in the medieval centre, with its maze of narrow \nstreets and white washed walls that reflect the sun and show off the \nbeautiful flowers hanging over the residents\u00b4 balconies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 17 beaches stretching along 21 kilometres, you are spoilt for \nchoice, and with many beaches boasting a blue flag award you can take \nadvantage of all the activities on offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Marbella, the port in Estepona consists of two halves, the \nfishing port, and the boating marina where it is possible to charter a \nboat or book to go on one of the many excursions available. The marina \nis also a great place to go and let your hair down in one of the many \nbars there. Alternatively you could sample some of the freshly caught \nwares in one of the numerous restaurants in the fishing port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torre Real<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

At Torre Real, you can find the wonderful El Pinillo Beach. At more \nthan 1.5 kilometers long, this very attractive beach features large \nareas of natural sand dunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torre Real is a small area just to the West of Marbella town, popular\n all year round with families and golfers alike. Lying just next to it \nis Rio Real Golf Course, which is open all year round for visitors \npaying green fees. There are so many activities to do in the area, and \nthe water sports make it a popular place to come in summer for those who\n want a bit less of the hustle and bustle in Marbella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los Monteros<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Located to the East of Marbella just outside of the main town lies \nLos Monteros, an exclusive area well sought after by those looking for a\n quiet place to reside. Next to a beautiful stretch of beach, this area \nis well known amongst Golf lovers as it is situated on the famous Golf \nMile. Although Los Monteros is made up of two areas \u2013 Bahia de Marbella \nand Altos de Marbella, most people consider it to be the same area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Rosario<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

El Rosario is predominantly a residential area with many beautiful \nprivate villas, town houses and apartments. Located midway between \nMarbella and Calahonda, this tranquil urbanization has its own Tennis \nClub, schools, bars, restaurants and beauty salons. El Rosario is not \nknown for its rowdy nightlife but even so there are several beach bars \nand restaurants that are open until late if you want to enjoy a few \ndrinks in the evening, and busier Elviria is only a 3 minute taxi \njourney away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elviria<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Elviria is a seaside residential haven. A thriving community, \ncomplete with Town Hall, church, post office and schools this location \nis a hub of activity. Many people find Elviria an ideal place to live as\n its only 8 minutes from Marbella and only 30 minutes from Malaga \nAirport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This lively area is full of bars and family friendly restaurants, \nwhich maintain an atmosphere all year round, even in the quiet season. \nThe Commercial Centre also contains many small businesses which help \nmake up this self contained community, and there is an Organic fruit and\n vegetable market on the first Saturday of every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fine sandy beaches are also full of beach bars and chiringuitos \nselling cold beer, a great range of cocktails and delicious food, with \nfresh seafood being the main attraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las Chapas<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Las Chapas is a small residential and beach urbanisation situated on \nthe Costa del Sol. Situated between Fuengirola and Marbella, it is an \nideal location for families who want to enjoy a beach holiday, but would\n also like to explore the local coastline. Surrounded by beautiful pine \nforests, in a quiet area, it is ideal for family holidays, sportsmen and\n all those who are attracted to nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only 15 minutes away from the centre of Marbella, and close to the \nlively Elviria, Las Chapas is also close to the Golf Course of Santa \nMaria. The beautiful clean beach of Las Chapas is another link in the \nlong chain of great swimming areas that join together all the zones of \nMarbella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabopino<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Cabopino is located on the eastern side of Marbella. This lovely \nbeach resort is very small which gives it an air of exclusivity. The \nwide expanse of beautiful clean beach is backed by sand dunes, which \nhave been preserved as an area of natural habitat. The port is quite \nsmall but very popular and is packed with lively bars and restaurants, \nwhich make it a favorite tourist destination especially for families. \nCabopino is also loved by golfers who enjoy the lush surrounding golf \ncourses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calahonda<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Sitio de Calahonda is the largest property development you will find \nbetween Marbella and Fuengirola. Actually part of La Cala de Mijas this \ndevelopment has grown hugely over recent years. Located between \nFuengirola and Marbella, Calahonda\u2019s boundary is actually the divide \nbetween the boundaries of Marbella and Mijas Costa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The small Commercial Centre is actually the start of a large area of \nurbanisations and golf courses. The main area of Calahonda, has many \nrestaurants and shops, with the best options for shopping, dining and \nentertainment, located in the El Zoco commercial centre in Calahonda. \n Very popular with ex pats, this busy community has a large number of \nbusinesses including dentists, medical centers, hairdressers, bars, vets\n and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the beach is small it is very clean and has a very popular \nbeach club called Royal Beach, which offers great food and a fun beach \nvibe in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riviera<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Covering a small zone west of La Cala and near Marbella, this \npeaceful and attractive area of the coast has plenty of appeal. Riviera \nPlaza Commercial Centre has become a social and commercial heart of this\n area with many shops, cafes, restaurants and businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riviera\u00b4s beach is usually more relaxed and less crowded than the \nsurrounding beaches. The popular venue of Max Beach is a great place to \nspend the evening offering fantastic cuisine in a beautiful setting. A \nshort distance towards La Cala you will find El Oceano, a well \nestablished Hotel and Spa which has a gorgeous seafront restaurant with \ncreative gastronomy and lovely wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Cala de Mijas<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of the Costa del Sol on Mijas Costa, and only a short \ndistance from Marbella and Fuengirola, La Cala de Mijas or \u00b4The Cove of \nMijas\u00b4 was once an old fishing pueblo and has a beautiful charm about \nit. Unspoiled by mass tourism with golden sandy beaches and every \nsporting activity you can bring to mind, it is also a hub of business \nactivity. You will find estate agents, here that are very professional \nand able to look after you in many different languages and banks, \ndoctors, lawyers, dentists equal to those in any part of Europe.
